The Town of Markham has fantastic organized activities for both children, teens and adults. The Town publishes four times a year a guide with details on all activities. Be sure to pick one up and sign up online early, the best activities get filled within hours.
With almost a dozen community centres open, take your pick of activities from skating to swimming and tai-chi classes.
Markham is home to a multitude of Parks. Go feed the ducks at Toogood pond with your young family or host your own BBQ at Milne Dam Conservation Park.
Markham also hosts many festivals and parades at various times of year. Be sure to check out the Unionville Festival held in the summertime or the Markham Fair in the Fall.
